Our Impact
In January 2020, Amazon announced an investment of $1 billion in India and committed to digitally enable 10 million micro, small, and medium enterprises, drive ecommerce exports worth $10 billion, and create 1 million additional jobs in India between 2020 and 2025. Since then, Amazon has added 300,000 direct and indirect jobs in India and added 250,000 new sellers, putting it well on track to fulfill these commitments. We also actively work to help communities by responding to urgent needs like disaster relief, and we invest in education for children and young adults.

Amazon India empowers small and medium-sized businesses to reach millions of customers with a number of programmes that help boost their revenue, reach, and productivity. We remain committed to introducing new tools, technology, and innovation to help unleash the entrepreneurial spirit of Indian businesses.

We are a part of the communities around the world where our employees live and work. We bring the same innovation and energy to our neighbourhoods and cities as we do to our work every day. Whether it’s confronting hunger or responding to a crisis, we aim to use our scale, technology, and infrastructure to make a positive impact.
We value the opportunity to be a force for good in the lives of our customers and in communities around the world.
Our investments go far beyond creating jobs in communities and empowering small and medium businesses as they grow through selling in Amazon’s Store. We expand access to skill building for in-demand fields and work on urgent needs—from the nonprofits we support that help families in their journeys out of homelessness to the way we provide disaster relief to those in need.
