A leader is a reader—Priyanka Gill would concur.
The Good Glamm Group CEO says she has read about 100 books in a year. "As an entrepreneur you have to constantly scale up. But first you have to scale yourself up," she says.
When brands merge
Gill reflects on the foundation of The Good Glamm Group. She recounts how POPxo, her digital media company, gained 60 million readers by 2020. Aside from this, she had also launched a makeup brand called MyGlamm. Priyanka decided to merge the two brands when their popularity soared, to bring out the power of connecting content with commerce.
Giving back to the community
Priyanka wanted to play a pivotal role in fostering more women-led startups. Speaking about the initiative, she says, “I realise that I need to give back to the community that has given me so much. So, I emailed one of my investors Vani Kola (Kalaari Capital CEO), the only female VC I found in my entire journey. This is when we founded CXXO, an initiative to fund 10 million startups owned by women.”
Growing with Amazon India
She thanks Amazon India for supporting and supporting The Good Glamm Group's growing businesses. “We are Amazon’s first DTC investment in India.”
The Great Indian Festival is a key phase for all brands under the group's umbrella as customers are keen to explore new products.
