The AWS Summit Online India, which begins June 29, brings together builders, customers, and innovators, reveals the latest developments in cloud technology, and educates the community how to leverage AWS to build and innovate at scale.
Ahead of the Summit, Puneet Chandok, President, Commercial Business – AWS India & South Asia, AISPL, has this message to all those who are attending: "I would like to start by first acknowledging the difficult times we are all in and how the pandemic is affecting each one of us. I remind myself that each day is still a blessing, and while there are many reasons to feel grim, there are stories around us of selflessness that bring us hope. From doctors and healthcare workers who are working tirelessly, to our colleagues, friends and family members who are going beyond the call of duty to help each other."
As we have all gone through this crisis, what has given each one of us courage and hope is how we have come together as Amazonians, as citizens, as Indians and we know we all are here in this together.
He reiterated Amazon’s commitment to help rebuild India – whether it is “Mission Vayu,” in which Amazon helped bring in 10,000 oxygen concentrators and BiPAP machines into India, as well as airlifted ICU ventilator units from the US to ramp up India’s supplies, and more recently the vaccination drive currently underway. “We have vaccinated over 100,000 Amazon frontline associates, employees and their dependents and we are committed to making vaccination a ready choice for 10 lakh people in India including employees, partners, SMBs, sellers and their dependents," says Puneet.
