Amazon India is taking steps to boost educational opportunities for children of its driver associates with the 2024 edition of the Pratidhi Scholarship programme. The programme provides 1,200 deserving students with financial aid of ₹6,000 per year to help cover tuition fees, school supplies, and other educational expenses. Additionally, students with disabilities stand to receive scholarship of ₹10,000 to support their therapeutic expenses and other requirements to join school. Amazon India will disburse about ₹70 lakh, reinforcing its commitment to empowering young minds and ensuring equal access to quality education regardless of socioeconomic backgrounds.
What is the Pratidhi Scholarship?
Since its inception in 2022, the Pratidhi Scholarship has supported over 650 students in 2022, over 1,000 students in 2023, and around 30 children with disabilities in 2024. The programme not only provides financial support but also includes mentorship opportunities, with 20% of recipients benefiting from a mentorship initiative to further enhance their educational journey.
Amazon has partnered with the Buddy4Study India Foundation to identify the most promising candidates through a rigorous evaluation process. Scholarships will be awarded based on a combination of academic merit, financial need, and demonstrated leadership potential.

What’s the Pratidhi Scholarship’s application deadline?
Applications for the Pratidhi Scholarship Program are now open and will close on September 15, 2024. The selected scholars will be announced by September 30, 2024. For more information visit Buddy4Study.
Who is eligible to apply?
School students from grades 3 to 12 who have socio-economic and financial need are eligible to apply. The applicant’s parent must be an Amazon driver associate.
What does the selection process entail?
Buddy4study India Foundation will process successfully submitted applications, which include verification of the documents and bank details submitted. A final list will then be shared with Amazon to verify details of the applicants. Upon verification, the amount is disbursed to the bank account of children of eligible delivery associates.
In addition to the Pratidhi Scholarship Program, Amazon is also taking steps to bridge the gender gap in technology with its Amazon Future Engineer programme. Targeted specifically at deserving girl students, 500 scholarships are offered to meritorious students pursuing undergraduate degrees in computer science engineering or related fields.
