This festive season, Prime Video is all set to captivate audiences with a diverse array of movies and series that will keep you hooked. Whether you're in the mood for a thrilling action-drama, a dystopian comedy, or a fantasy adventure, Prime Video's latest releases have you covered. Here’s Prime Video’s exhaustive slate for October 2024.
1. The Tribe
This reality drama series is about a group of Indian influencers, who have been set up to crack global fame in Los Angeles. The Amazon Original series follows these young influencers, who harbour massive aspirations. Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the nine-part series is executive-produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Aneesha Baig. The first season will premiere on October 4 and features Alanna Panday, Alaviaa Jaaferi, Aryaana Gandhi, Alfia Jafry and Hardik Zaveri.
2. Snakes and Ladders (Season 1)
Four children find themselves in perilous situations after trying to cover up an accident. The Amazon Original series that will be available from October 18 has an ensemble cast featuring Naveen Chandra, Muthy Kumar, Nandaa, Srinda, Manoj Bharathiraja and has been created by Kamala Alchemis and Dhivakar Kamal.
3. Citadel: Diana (Season 1)
This Italian series in the Citadel multiverse is set in Milan in 2030. Diana Cavalieri, a double agent for the global spy agency Citadel, who infiltrated Manticore, a rival agency that destroyed Citadel eight years ago, is trapped behind enemy lines. In this action-drama-thriller series, Diana has to decide whether to trust a surprising ally – Edo Zani, the heir of Manticore. Starring Matilda De Angelis, Lorenzo Cervasio and Maurizio Lombardi, the Amazon Original series will premiere on October 10.
4. Gaganachari
Written by Arun Chandu and Siva Sai and directed by Arun Chandu, this is a dystopian comedy set in the 2040s. The plot revolves around three problematic bachelors who live in an apartment. They are in for a rude awakening when their home becomes a haven for an extra-terrestrial female fugitive. The Malayalam movie will be available from October 4.
5. Powder
In a small village, a valuable consignment from China, supposedly containing narcotics, goes missing. The Kannada movie is about the lengths a group of miscreants will go to in pursuit of this valuable treasure. It will be available from October 4.
6. Madanolsavam
This family entertainer is about Madhanan’s journey from being a mere cog in the wheel to defying all odds to overcome many challenges. Against expectations, he fights through his unusual circumstances to reclaim control over his life and destiny. Directed by Sudheesh Gopinath, it stars Suraj Venjaramoodu, Baby Antony, and P.P. Kunhikrishnan, and will be available from October 1.
7. The Legend of Vox Machina (Season 3)
After their heroic victory against a fearsome power couple bent on destroying Exandria, the legendary group of adventurers known as Vox Machina a band of eight unlikely heroes) must rise to the occasion once more. This time, they face a new and deadly threat: the Chroma Conclave, a powerful and sinister group of dragons determined to wreak havoc on the world. The third season of this action-adventure animation will be available from October 3.
8. Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. (Season 1)
In this Japanese anime series, originally titled Kabushiki Gaisha Majirumie, a struggling college graduate Kana Sakuragi finds herself unexpectedly recruited by an unconventional company to take on supernatural threats known as ‘Kaii.’ Her mission is to transform into a magical girl to protect the world from these mysterious beings. As she navigates her new career as a magical girl, Kana must balance the challenges of her unusual job with the everyday struggles of adulthood. Season 1 of this exciting series premieres on Prime Video on October 5.
9. IF
A young girl suddenly discovers that she can see everyone’s imaginary friends left behind by their real-life friends, who have all since grown up. Written and directed by John Krasinski, the comedy movie stars Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski and Cailey Fleming, and will be available in English and Hindi from October 3.
10. Challengers
Starring actors Zendaya, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist, this drama-comedy-romance movie is about Tashi, a former tennis prodigy turned coach, who transformed her husband into a champion. However, he must face his wife’s ex-boyfriend, also his former best friend, to overcome his losing streak and redeem himself. The romance-comedy-drama movie will be available from October 1.
11. Noryang: Deadly Sea
Originally titled Noryang: Jegeumui Bada, this action-biography film is set in the winter of 1598. It is the story of Yi Sun-shin’s last naval battle when Japan invaded Korea’s Noryang Strait. Directed and written by Han-min Kim, the movie will be available from October 4 in Korean, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
12. House of Spoils
This supernatural horror movie tells the story of a chef who opens her first restaurant. As she battles kitchen chaos, a dubious investor and self-doubt, the spirit of the estate’s previous owner threatens to sabotage her, heating up the pressure on her. Written and directed by Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy, the movie stars Marton Csokas, Ariana DeBose and Barbie Ferreira. It will premiere on October 3.
13. El Diario
In this Spanish movie, newly divorced Olga moves to a new city with her daughter Vera and discovers a sinister diary in the attic of their new home. The diary, which appears to be written by a killer, is still being mysteriously updated, threatening the safety of Olga and those around her. This mystery will be available from October 4.
14. Uruku Patela
Actor Tejus Kancherla, as the protagonist, is trapped by a woman he loves in a maze of love and deceit, as she is trying to have him killed. Directed by Vivek Reddy, the Telugu comedy-thriller will be available from October 11.
15. Rose Rosy Te Gulab
Gulab is discontented with being single. As advised by friends, he starts manifesting his wishes, only to find himself torn between two women – Rose and Rosy. The Punjabi romance movie will premiere on October 9.
16. Pepe
In this Kannada movie, two groups, divided by a stream, face off. Standing against the dominant community, the hero challenges their oppression. Written and directed by Shreelesh S Nair, the movie stars Sandhya Arakere, Aruna Balraj, and Shashidhar Bhat, and will be available from October 11.
17. Niharika: In the Mist
Directed by Indrasis Acharya, the Bengali movie is about a woman, who after going through a dark and abusive childhood, empowers herself. Starring Anuradha Mukherjee, Shilajit Majumdar, and Mallika Mazumdar, this will be available from October 11.
18. Accused (Seasons 1 and 2)
The crime-drama series chronicles ordinary people caught up in extraordinary situations. With one wrong turn leading to another, it could be too late to turn back. Created by Howard Gordon and Jimmy McGovern, Season 1 and 2 of this series will be available from October 10.
19. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon (Season 1)
In this zombie horror, protagonist Daryl journeys across a broken, but resilient France, as he hopes to find his way back home. The episodes of the first season will be available from October 10.
20. Creation of the Gods 1: Kingdom of Storms
Directed by Wuershan, this Eastern high fantasy epic recreates the prolonged mythical wars between humans, immortals and monsters. Available in Chinese, English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu from October 11.
21. Inside Out 2
In the sequel of the hugely popular animated movie, Riley now enters puberty and starts to experience new and more complex emotions. As she tries to adapt, her old emotions are also trying to adapt to the possibility of being replaced. Available from October 8.
22. Kadaisi Ulaga Por
Directed by Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, this movie is set in a dystopian future where political conflicts arise in India due to blockades by international forces, which results in civil unrest. Available from October 18.
23. Laughing Buddha
Written and directed by Bharath Raj and starring Teju Belawadi, Sundar Raj and Diganth, the Kannada comedy movie explores the life and personal struggles of Govardhan, a police head constable. Available from October 18.
24. The Walking Dead: Dead City (Season 1)
Created by Eli Jorne, protagonists Maggie and Negan travel into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan that has for long been cut off from the mainland. The city is now filled with the dead and denizens. Season 1 will be available from October 17.
25. Longlegs
An FBI agent, who is hunting down a serial killer, uncovers a series of occult clues that she should solve to put an end to his terrifying killing spree. Written and directed by Osgood Perkins, the movie will be available from October 15 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
26. The Blue Cave
In this Turkish drama, a widowed navy soldier Cem goes on a trip to a place called ‘Blue Cave’ to keep the promise he made to his late wife Alara. During the course of the journey, he learns more about their relationship, affirming enduring love beyond death. Available in Turkish, English and Hindi from October 18.
27. Zwigato
Directed by Nandita Das, this drama is about a food delivery executive grappling with ratings and incentives. His homemaker wife, excited about newfound independence, begins to explore different work opportunities. Starring Kapil Sharma, Shahana Goswami and Tushar Acharya, the drama will be available from October 25.
28. Like a Dragon: Yakuza (Season 1)
In this Japanese series, Kazuma Kiryu navigates modern Japan’s underbelly and explores the criminal underworld ties. This will be available in English and Hindi from October 25.
29. The Arctic Convoy
The Norwegian action-drama is set in the summer of 1941 when an unstoppable Hitler is invading the Soviet Union, and cargo ships with war materials are on a perilous journey to Murmansk. The movie is about the ordinary sailors who faced German superiority in the icy Arctic Sea. Available from October 24 in Norwegian and Hindi.
