Prime Video has added the critically acclaimed biographical sports drama Maidaan to its ever-expanding slate of Bollywood blockbusters. Maidaan is based on the true story of Syed Abdul Rahim, the architect of modern Indian football who coached the India national team for more than a decade. The movie captured the hearts of audiences and critics alike when it released in theatres on April 10. Maidaan stars Ajay Devgn alongside Priyamani and Gajraj Rao. It is directed by National Award-winning director Amit Sharma and is produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta and Akash Chawla. It also features masterful compositions by AR Rahman.
