19 new releases coming to Prime Video this October

The second season of the much-anticipated Mumbai Diaries will start streaming on Prime Video from October 6. This season narrates a gripping tale of spirit and perseverance in the face of adversity. The first season depicted the untold story of doctors, nurses, paramedics, and hospital staff who worked tirelessly to save hundreds of lives during the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai. The second season begins months after the events of Season 1 as the staff at Bombay General Hospital has to confront a new set of challenges brought about by a day of torrential rain and the devastation that follows. The season brings back the ensemble star cast from the previous season including Konkona Sen Sharma, Mohit Raina, Tina Desai, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Satyajeet Dubey, Natasha Bharadwaj, Mrunmayee Deshpande and Prakash Belawadi, alongside newer cast members such as Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Riddhi Dogra. Mumbai Diaries Season 2 will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Upload is a sci-fi comedy series from Emmy-winning writer Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Recreation, King of the Hill) that’s set in a technologically advanced future where holographic phones, self-driving vehicles, AI assistance, and 3D food printers are the norm.

One Shot: Overtime Elite is a high-stakes, character-driven docuseries that throws light into the devotion and resilience of Overtime Elite’s (a professional basketball league) players and coaches through every loss and victory—on and off the court. The six-part docuseries follows the next generation of basketball stars from around the country as they navigate through various challenges and gruelling training in pursuit of a professional basketball career. In My Mother’s Skin is a horror fairy tale set in the Philippines towards the end of World War II. The movie, which premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, follows Tala, the young daughter of a family living in an isolated forest mansion. After being tormented by Japanese soldiers on suspicion of stealing Japanese gold, Tala's father Aldo escapes and seeks help from the Americans. As the father leaves, her mother's health rapidly deteriorates. In her desperation, Tala seeks out a mysterious fairy who has promised to protect her. Everybody Loves Diamonds is an eight-part Italian heist series with a comedic twist that’s inspired by the 2003 ‘Antwerp Diamond Heist,’ dubbed ’the world's largest theft of diamonds.’ The series follows a team of small-time Italian thieves, led by Leonardo Notarbartolo (Kim Rossi Stuart), who manage to deceive top-level security with a genius plan and steal precious stones worth millions of dollars from the Antwerp Diamond Centre. The show will be available in both English and Hindi starting October 13.

The documentary shows the highs and lows of Coomb’s creative force that helped raise Canadian children for well over four decades. Available from October 14.

It releases in India on October 20.

The show will be hosted by horror fanatics and life partners Tempestt Bledsoe (The Cosby Show) and Darryl M. Bell (A Different World). This hilariously horrifying Halloween special features three celebrity teams—led by Jaleel White (Family Matters), Shoniqua Shandai (Harlem), and rapper Lil Xan who face a series of bone-chilling scare zones while trying not to scream. Seeking justice and surrender, both mothers will face police corruption, the morosity of the justice system and the pain of their losses. The series releases on October 27 in India.

A legendary monster called October Boy terrorises residents in a small Midwestern town when he rises from the cornfields every Halloween with his butcher knife and makes his way toward those who are brave enough to confront him. You can watch from October 13.
