In a bid to expand its local language offerings, Prime Video is bringing a new Tamil Original comedy-drama series Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam to its audiences in India and over 240 countries. The show will take viewers on a heartwarming journey to a rural village in Tamil Nadu, capturing India’s rooted community dynamics. "The ever-evolving tastes and preferences of our diverse audience drive us to expand our local language content with authentic, relatable, and engaging stories,” says Manish Menghani, Director of Content Licensing at Prime Video India. The show is set to premiere worldwide on September 20.

The dubbed content slate—which includes miniTV originals (‘Hunter,’ ‘Highway Love,’ and more), Hollywood blockbusters, imported shows and movies—will premiere exclusively on Amazon miniTV.

Who is in the cast of Thalaivettiyaan Paalaya?

It is directed by Naga, written by Balakumaran Murugesan and produced by The Viral Fever (TVF). It stars Abishek Kumar, Chetan Kadambi, Devadarshini, Niyathi, Anand Sami, and Paul Raj in pivotal roles.

What’s the plot of Thalaivettiyaan Paalaya?

The comedy drama series follows Sidharth (Abishek Kumar), an engineering graduate from Chennai, who reluctantly takes on a job far outside his comfort zone, as a secretary in the remote village of Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam. As he navigates the quirks of rural life and its eccentric villagers, he finds himself caught up in a comedy of errors full of twists and turns.
