Amazon is committed to promoting reading and literature across the country. In line with this strategy, Amazon has partnered with two of the country's most prominent literary events: Jaipur Literature Festival and New Delhi World Book Fair. These partnerships help Amazon India expand its literary footprint and improve accessibility of books. It also offers same-day delivery on key books across Delhi NCR, has created dedicated online storefronts, and set up immersive offline experiences.

On February 6, Amazon is set to hold a conference call to discuss its Q4 2024 financial results.

Amazon experience centre at New Delhi World Book Fair

As the Official Reading Partner for the 52nd New Delhi World Book Fair (February 1 to February 9) at Bharat Mandapam, Amazon India will feature an immersive Amazon Experience Centre, blending online convenience with an engaging offline literary experience.

The Amazon Experience Centre will feature an interactive kiosk—for the first time—where visitors can scan QR codes to purchase books, avail an exclusive 10% discount, and receive same-day delivery on select titles within eligible areas of Delhi-NCR region. This initiative ensures that eager readers can get their hands-on sought-after books almost immediately, making literary indulgence more convenient than ever.

Visitors can also sit with their chosen books at the cosy reading corner, indulge in fun activities, like DIY bookmark making and book bingo, and try their hand at winning exciting prizes, including Alexa devices.

Watch and Shop makes online shopping fun and informative as customers can discover, explore, and purchase products instantly—all while watching bite-sized videos.

“Since our journey began in India with books, we have been dedicated to making reading more accessible to every Indian,” says Rajarshi Guin, Director, Toys, Books & Video Games at Amazon India. “Our presence at the New Delhi World Book Fair represents a significant step in connecting with readers offline while leveraging our digital expertise to enhance the book discovery and purchasing experience.”

Official online bookstore partner for JLF

As the Official Online Bookstore Partner for the Jaipur Literature Festival (January 30-February 1) for the fifth consecutive year, Amazon India has launched a dedicated storefront on the website and the mobile app where you can avail same-day delivery on thousands of titles. Readers can access books by festival speakers, themed collections, and specially curated reading lists inspired by the festival’s highlights, apart from information about the festival and event schedules.

“Books have always been at the heart of Amazon India's journey, and our five-year partnership with the Jaipur Literature Festival reflects our ongoing commitment to making literature accessible to readers across India,” says Guin. “By creating a dedicated digital space for JLF on our platform, we're bridging the gap between this prestigious literary event and millions of readers nationwide, making it easier than ever to discover and engage with works by celebrated authors and thought leaders participating in the festival.”

This is part of AWS’s larger $12.7 billion planned investment across India by 2030, announced in May 2023, to meet growing demand for cloud services and artificial intelligence (AI) in the country.

This year’s JLF will feature an impressive lineup of literary and intellectual giants, including Nobel Laureates and economists Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo, lyricist Javed Akhtar, and filmmaker Imtiaz Ali. Bibliophiles unable to attend the festival can just head to the JLF storefront or the Amazon India YouTube channel to access exclusive video content such as author interview series, behind-the-scenes glimpses of the festival, and special segments highlighting author journeys and creative processes.
