In 2019, Amazon and Global Optimism announced The Climate Pledge, a commitment to meet the Paris Agreement 10 years early. The Climate Pledge calls on signatories to be net zero carbon across their businesses by 2040. As part of The Climate Pledge, Amazon has established the Right Now Climate Fund, a $100 million fund to restore and conserve forests, wetlands, and peatlands around the world.
